Doctor Hernandez is a second generation dentist . He started practicing in Florida in 1986 with his father in Coral Gables, he is very grateful to have worked and learned from his father who was his mentor. He opened his own dental office in 1991 where he still practices . Dr Hernandez is a general dentist with extensive training in reconstructive dentistry. He is a graduate of the Boston seminars in implant dentistry and special jaw reconstruction. He has attended courses at the Pankey Institute and Peter Dawson training on restoring deteriorated dentitions. Dr. Hernandez is also a member of American Academy of Facial Esthetics and has taken advanced courses in Botox, Dermal Fillers and PDO threading. Along with his dedicated staff , he believes in giving patients the highest quality of care in a caring and honest way.

Dental Implants

Crowns and Bridges
Crowns are done on teeth that have very large cavities or restorations. This is done by covering the whole tooth and restoring the anatomy of the tooth and its function. Bridges are made to replace missing teeth in a permanent manner and are made of several crown attached to each other.
Cosmetic Dentistry
Cosmetic procedures are those done to enhance the appearance of teeth . The treatment may consist of veneers which are a thin layer of porcelain adhered to the tooth surface , crowns and tooth colored restorations to make teeth more esthetically attractive.
Gum Disease
Gum disease should be detected as soon as possible, since this can lead to tooth loss. Gingivitis is the first sign of a problem characterized by bleeding, swollen and tender gums. If left untreated it could progress to periodontitis in which there is evidence of bone loss hence the importance of early detection and treatment.

Full dentures are a prosthesis that replace the entire dentition in contrast to partials that replace some of the teeth but not all. Both of these prosthesis can be enhanced with the use of dental implants to support them or to eliminate having to use them and have something more permanent.

Botox is used to relax the muscles that when they contract create wrinkles on our foreheads and around the lateral portion of our eyes. Fillers are use to eliminate wrinkles that are formed by the loss of collagen. The most common areas to treat are the nasolabial folds and marionette lines. We can also enhance volume in the cheeks and lips, creating a more youthful appearance.

PDO threads are used to lift sagging skin and create new collagen over time.
